Privacy policy
Effective October 2026
This site is run by Colin Roberts Music, LLC, based in Gretna, Nebraska (“I,” “me,” “my”). I keep things simple: I only collect what I need to answer you, play your request, or keep you posted, and I never sell your information.
What I collect
- Booking inquiries: your name, email, optional phone number, and the details you share about your event, community, song, or project.
- Song requests: the song you request, and optionally your first name and a short note.
- Email updates: your first name and email address, if you sign up.
- Text messages: your mobile number and the content of your messages, if you text my number or submit your number through this site.
How I use it
- To reply to your inquiry and plan your booking, song, or project.
- To see and play song requests during a live show.
- To send occasional emails about new music and upcoming shows, if you signed up.
- To respond to your texts, provide booking information, and send text updates you’ve requested.
Where it’s stored
Booking inquiries and song requests are stored in my Google account (Google Sheets and Gmail). Email signups are stored with my email service, MailerLite. Text messages are handled by my messaging provider. These companies store data for me under their own privacy and security policies.
What I don’t do
- I don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- I don’t sell, share, or distribute your phone number to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Text message opt-in data and consent are never shared.
Embedded content
Some pages include players and widgets from YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Facebook, and Bandsintown, plus Venmo links for tips. When you play or interact with them, those companies may collect information under their own privacy policies. YouTube videos on this site use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and don’t load until you press play.
Cookies and analytics
This site doesn’t use advertising cookies. My hosting provider, Cloudflare, may collect basic, anonymous traffic statistics to keep the site fast and secure.
Your choices
- Email: every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Texts: reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
- Anything else: email me and I’ll update or delete your information.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If I update this policy, I’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
